Help DearSugar Name New Kittens!

How adoro are these two?! DearSugar's mom just added the lil preciouses to her family — the aqua-eyed Tonkinese made the trip up from Fresno and are now settling in nicely at their new home. The duo arrived yesterday but there's one big problem . . . or two, rather. They're so adorable that she can't decide what to name them!

To make it easier for myself, I'm gonna creatively refer to these babies as "one" and "two. " The feisty kit on the right ("one") is trying to claim her throne as queen of the household and prances around like she owns the place. But I think soon "two" (on the left) may stage an attack — this cat may be smaller and more timid, but she has a big, bold voice and is already meowing up a storm. So, as classy as my temporary names are, Dear's mom wants something a little more fitting for their beauty. Can you help out? If you've got name ideas, leave them in your comments below. I'll keep you posted on the naming process!

I've already told Dear my suggestions, but I'll throw in a couple more. Smudge, Smoke, Shadow, Gemma, Cleo, Blanca. . . That's all.

Wow! Those are absolutely stunningly beautiful cats! They deserve names just as breath-taking! I named my first Himalayan girl (also with those beautiful blue peepers) Peyton. She was quite the princess, and it just fit! Olivia might be an option as well, as it's meaning is "peace" or "peaceful", which is something that you can't help but be when you gaze into those amazing eyes! Eye-wink

Let us know what you finally decide on for names. And give both girls chin scratches from me!

Fuzzles must know Dear's boyfriend by the name she gave her Himalayan!! This is Dear's mother writing...I thank everyone who is helping us find a name for our beauties. Right now the one on the left (the smaller of the two) is being called Itty Bitty...but we have no intention of keeping that. The one on the right is No Name 2! Harley is our resident Queen as of this writing. She's going to be 10 in March and hasn't yet met the little ones. Names used in the past have been Ping and Josie (named for Joe Montana). Harley got her name because she purrs like a motorcycle.
I look forward to hearing more from all of you with your suggestions.

    Thanks!!!

How about Maui-Wowie for the more vocal cutie? Eyes as blue as Maui's ocean and it sort of sounds like Meow-ie for her speaking ability?

Hi! Loving your beautiful new babies! I have 3 cats and a rabbit who thinks he's a cat. I'll share with you the names of my current group of fur-balls and some from the past, maybe they will help!
    current:
Willow, Baby, Witten (made it up - it rhymed with Kitten)-and the rabbit is Boo (used to be Wubby)
Previous names: Bear, Bandit, Kona (dogs) Ta, Ginko, Freckles, Puss, Mama Cat, Sad Sardine (yes, you read that right), Big-Eyed Poop (not a typo), Harley, Dakota (cats) -- I know there have been more over my 43 years, but I'm blanking on the rest. If they come to me, I'll let you know Smiling
Good Luck with your wonderful new additions! May they live a long and healthy life, giving you pure joy! Hey, how about Joy and Hope?

This an EXTREMELY fun and useful site! They give you ideas for their names Smiling
I'm usually excellent with naming, but I would have to personally know the cats before I named them.
Luna sounds beautiful, though, and these kitties remind me of the stars...maybe something celestial?

"They give you ideas FOR names" not "their names".

The Purrfect Pair needs the puurrrfect buddy-duo or sister names!
(Some of these boy-names can be girl names, too):
    - Fred(die) and Ginger (Astaire & Rogers)
    - Lucy and Ethel or even Freddie and Ethel (I Love Lucy)
    - Alice and Trixie (The Honeymooners)
    - Ginger and Marianne (Gilligan's Island)
    - Judy and Mickey (Garland & Rooney)
    - Mickey and Minnie (The Mouses -- ironic!)
    - Betty and Veronica (Josie and the Pussycats)
    - Jan and Marsha (there's room for a "Cyndy" too...)
    - Paris and Nicky (Hilton Sisters)
    - Kylie and Danii (Minogue Sisters)
    - Venus and Serena (Williams Sister, tennis!)
    - Joely and Natasha (Richardson Sisters)
    - Charlotte and Emily (Bronte Sisters)
    - Eva and Zsa Zsa (Gabor Sisters, dahlink!)

When I first saw the pics I thought of Si & Am from Lady and the Tramp. I always go with names from literary classics for pets. I've already used Huck, Finn and Pip for pets. What about Daisy & Jordan from The Great Gatsby? Or Oliver & Twist... Alice & White Rabbit...?

I think that naming them after eye colour is too obvious...but if you're going to do it, one has to be named frank....So how about Frank and Sinatra?

I think Squeezethe and Charmin are more appropriate though.

Okay everyone...One (the one on the right) has been given a name...drum roll...CoCo, as in Chanel...it fits her because she's so white (coconut, etc). Unfortunately two doesn't have a name yet other than Itty Bitty because she's so small. Dear wants to name her Ellie...I prefer Ella but am not 100% on either. Now, will someone tell me how to make that cute little cat face on this site PLEASE!!
