Happy Tail Ale: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Doggone it! The non-carbonated Happy Tail Ale contains malted barley, all natural beef flavoring, glucosamine, Vitamin E – and not a drop of alcohol. North enjoys his "yappy hour" bevvies at daycare where it's served up in a frosted dog bowl with a bully stick on the side... ahh, he's growing up so fast! Costing around $13 for a six-pack (check the website for retailers near you), you know the drill:

I don't think I would give anything like this to my pets.

I would MAYBE buy it for a gift for someone who was totally crazy for their dog. Maybe. It's a cute idea and all, but let's not get too carried away here folks.

Our local news channel did a taste test of this beer on area dogs! None of them would drink it! In fact they liked the way eachother's butts smelled better than this brew!!

My dog does loves her beer, actually lemondrop martinis are her favorite. We learned that when I dropped one on the carpet and she licked the spot forever.

Sticking out tongue it's of course marketed towards the owners, just like those silly dogclothes and expensive little pies for dogs. Clearly a dog couldn't care less.. but i agree, it'd make a funny gift for someone who's a bit too sappy about their dog.

I used to own a little dog boutique and I sold this. It was more like a gag item to give as a gift to a dog owner. None of my customers actually gave it to their dog to drink.
